KING LEAR WARS
Moe Armstrong and I are writing about King Lear, and one of my parents found this paper I wrote as a newly minted 17 year old in college (I must have gotten an A in it just for turning 17 in the year 1976). My professor was a wonderful English professor named Andrea Sununu (who might have been related to John Sununu - Reagan's Chief of Staff - who knows), but anyway she was a wonderful English teacher who had the courage to teach at the same college she had gotten an undergraduate degree from (her thesis was on Dante which I also read in high school) and I got a B for the course, and an A on my final paper. Sometimes we forget how brilliant we were in adolescence, and why exactly adulthood is always such a hard thing to overcome.
